I really loved this story! I think that it’s amazing how
you were able to make this story about propaganda into propaganda itself, very Meta.
I mean, I was a little confused as to who Eddie was (I knew he was an American Eagle
from the children’s gun awareness movie but I had no clue if he was a human
dressed up as a character, a character, or an actual eagle) but that aside, I really
loved how the story played out. I mean, first we have Charlton telling his friend
Dennis about how bad guns are—without him realizing that he actually gets a
rush out of seeing the guns—and the next thing you know he is shooting down
Eddie, the one who introduced him to the world of guns. This story is really
good. I also enjoyed your use of word choice. Words such as silver dollar, coke
machine, etc.; it gave the story an 80’s/ 90’s feel. If it would have not been
for the introduction of “Spongebob” and “digital animation” into the story I would
not have known it was taking place in the 21st century. I honestly
really enjoy it and can find only little things to change about it (little nit-picky
things that are not worth mentioning here but have been pointed out on the
manuscript).
